Full Biography
Arkar (Ark) M. Latt is the Operations Manager of Turner International, the overseas division or Business Unit of Turner Construction representing work globally for Turner. Mr. Latt started in construction within the trades while attending college, was employed by a smaller design-build firm for several years and joined Turner in 1993. His Turner career commenced with an eighteen month assignment in Kuwait as a Field Engineer, restructuring a damaged palace following the first Gulf War, then returning to the New York Business Unit for a variety of roles including; Project Engineer, Superintendent, Purchasing Agent, and Senior Project Manager. Returning to TI in 2002, he currently reports directly to the EVP and General Manager of Turner International. His primary responsibilities include oversight and operational support for the four regions where Turner works including; Europe, Caribbean / Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europa, the Middle East and Africa. He also oversees new initiatives, the standardizing of Turner Operational Systems, Turner Logistics, Transportation, Training, Staff Recruiting and special projects. Mr. Latt holds a five year Bachelors Degree in Architecture from New York Institute of Technology and maintains a N.Y.S. Architectural License. He also lectures both externally and internally on International Construction issues, and is a member of the Council on Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat and serves on the American General Contractors Association - International Construction Committee.
