Mike Collini was appointed Vice President Development for Northern Europe in June 2006.   Based in London, Collini is responsible for driving Hilton’s development activity in Russia, the CIS and Baltic States, the Nordic countries and Turkey. His priority lies with the implementation of Hilton’s ambitious expansion strategy for its Family of Hotels, with a focus on rolling out new brands like Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton by Hilton and Doubletree by Hilton throughout the region.

Mike Collini   Mike Collini was appointed Vice President Development for Northern Europe in June 2006.   Based in London, Collini is responsible for driving Hilton’s development activity in Russia, the CIS and Baltic States, the Nordic countries and Turkey. His priority lies with the implementation of Hilton’s ambitious expansion strategy for its Family of Hotels, with a focus on rolling out new brands like Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton by Hilton and Doubletree by Hilton throughout the region.   Under his leadership he has successfully delivered a number of strategic development alliances in emerging markets like Turkey, paving the way for over 40 Hilton Family of Hotels properties in the next five years. Within Turkey the company now enjoys the largest development pipeline of any global hotel chain, with recent signings set to more than double the company’s Turkish estate over the next few years.   Over the past two years Collini has been responsible for launching Hilton’s presence in a number of new markets, including the debut of the Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Doubletree by Hilton brands in Russia, and the signing of new Hilton hotels in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Iceland.   During a Hilton career spanning ten years Collini has held a number of positions within the company – from overseeing major capital expenditure projects to asset management, acquisitions, disposals and technical support.   Collini has a Master’s in Property Business and Management, a BSc in Quantity Surveying, and is also a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. A father of three children, he enjoys mountain hiking, skiing, rugby and football.
